Author Topic: Looking for good stories/books to read.  (Read 2148 times)

Hey, guys, my school happens to be handicapped and requires me to read for 45 minutes per day every day, and then write a log about it. Recently, I've been going through the works of Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft, but I'm running out of interesting stories to read. I need something else to buy on my Kindle Fire to read, something that's not Fifty Shades of Grey, or a documentary on X plant. It needs to be interesting, and I would prefer action-y. Go go go

I love Edgar Allen Poe, he shares my birthday. c:
Make sure to read his-
The Raven
Pit and the Pendulum
Tell-Tale Heart.

Anyway, try reading The Outsiders. Stay gold, Ponyboy.

Kurt Vonnegut. That is all.

Get lost, hood.

Dune - Frank Herbert
Hobbit, LotR 1-3 - J.R. Tolkien
Alex Rider Series - Anthony Horowitz
EDIT:
City of Ember
City of Sparks
(forgot the prequels name) - Some Guy.

Had to read that for School, and it's alright.

I've read Pit and the Pendulum, I've not been able to find The Raven, and I'll probably check out Tell-Tale Heart. Those others don't really interest me though, sadly.

Game of Thrones
You can get the whole series for $20 on amazon, and it's great.

Definitely getting this.

Already read Hunger Games trilogy, may check out others.

Kurt Vonnegut. That is all.
Checking out.

Also, guys, it would be nice if you told me what the story was about, or at least linked me to a review, so I wouldn't have to go searching up every title you guys recommend.

Oh, and keep in mind that these need to be available on Kindle Fire.

1984 by George Orwell

Read it, it's considered one of the more influential books of the past century, and, without spoiling anything, it will change your views on politics.

Dune - Frank Herbert

i watched a movie on that

IT WAS FOUR HOURS LONG
