in regards to that pretty win+tab thing, they didn't remove it. they replaced it. does the same job as alt+tab, but with a different UI.

i personally think it's still pretty handy.

Windows has dumped so much of what it was in this release I think its just going to shoot itself in the foot.

Cringing at what this might mean for Microsoft. In this case, given how strongly Windows will change (and how its starting to try and move directions from the traditional desktop) that there is plenty of reason to be concerned. This is not an unreasonable whinge, there is cause for concerrnnnn.

that tablet screen thing is only the replacement for the start menu. if you move your mouse to the bottom-left, it brings it up. just like the old start menu, except, in my opinion, prettier.

if it's that much of a problem, more than likely there's some way to remove it if it bothers you that much.

when i said "like the old start menu" i meant in terms of the position you go to click it.

that's it right there, take it or leave it. it's not really gone. just different.

and yeah, i basically removed all of the default icons on the start menu, except for a few like minecraft/chrome/steam/etc.

in fact, for me it's better, because I use the start menu as a sort of dock and before it had limited space.

i see this as an improvement.
