I am wondering, does this mean you have to set up everything again at that later date or would it be just like how you left it?
From how i read it i suppose the latter.

It'll all be as you left it as long as you renew your contract within a reasonable time. If you don't pay for up to (I think) 3 days after you contract expires your server will be suspended (you won't be able to start it) and if there's still no payment it'll be terminated and your files removed from the server.

Again, this is all automated but you can raise a support ticket if there are extenuating circumstances.

May I also suggest a "Add Funds" option to accounts so that other people other than yourself can help contribute to the server cost, and deduct that when renewing/purchasing?

I think if people want to help pay for eachother's servers they should use PayPal (or Google Checkout) to transfer the money to the person paying for the server. I think it'd unnecessarily complicate things if you could have multiple people contributing to the cost of a server to be honest.

I see, useful to know and it sounds reasonable.

i'm getting about 20ms less on barns now, so that's always a good thing

can't complain with 250 as an aussie

Yeah, that's great. The ping times are really exceeding my expectations, getting 69ms from my work connection in the UK, almost makes a European server pointless. Perhaps we'll look at a US West Coast server instead, I'll make a poll sometime.

Europeans are really pointless.

Go with western server <3

Americans will love you.
as if all of them don't already

Yes, you call a Euro server pointless, but you're thinking about a west coast server when you already have an east coast server.

At least with the European provider it's not ovepriced.

Makes total sense.

You only think things are overpriced because you pay list price for things. When you have connections in the industry you pay cost price for everything or know where to find the best deals, you'll get there soon buddy, don't worry!

Europe or West Coast, there's no price difference for me.

It makes no sense to put one on West Coast, One in Europe would make so much more sense. Hold on, Let me talk to Kalphiter about buying one in Antarctica.

Let's be fair to all those Australians, South Americans, and Southern Africans that play Blockland.

I mean honestly, You said it yourself, You get awesome ping in Europe, if anything, it would be better if it was in the same country.

Both Ephi and I are in a position where making money from this service is of zero importance, this means we can focus on the needs of customers without worrying about maximising profit margins. Whilst the demand for West Coast wouldn't be as big as the demand for NYC, there'd still be interest in it for players in America and Australia. Buying a smaller server for the great prices I receive would allow us to cater to this small demand whilst still running the service without loss. The same goes in Europe; it wouldn't be necessary to buy a large powerful server in every location we deploy to.

well anything below 100 ping is acceptable.
i mean fighting about menial differences dosnt really matter. no one will see lag on any service lol
