both of those are just as well made as a macbook, the only way to make sure your computer is not going to fall apart is to put it together yourself, and even then you still run the risk of doing something stupid like getting cheato dust on the motherboard or something.

I'm more on the line of Apple, but I think I should explore building a new PC with higher specs than the Mac Mini I currently use (the Radeon 6630M chip on it could handle about 175k bricks in view until FPS lag is noticeable in v20, but it handles shaders poorly)

dell, unlike apple, is not the only producer of wintel computers

A car selling for $120,000(Apple) is just as well made as the same car selling for $50,000(Wintel Computers).

Dell assembles parts in America, but ships in parts from China. Apple assembles and manufactors parts in China
