Author Topic: What system does your school use?  (Read 973 times)

it was XP when I left and I doubt they've changed it

Computers = XP
Laptops = 7

Windows 7

Windows 7

Windows 8

Then a little old person Mac in the nurses office.

Windows XP Professional with all themes removed except for the old Windows 95 theme on everything. All computers automatically reset (almost) everything on startup and are set up with some domain server run by the government from which they download everything about user accounts. They also have to set up every single thing on login (automatic process, though), which takes a really long time.

I just bring my own laptop to school and use that instead anyway, so none of those problems matter to me.

My school's system is weird.

It starts off as Windows XP, but sometimes, when you log on, it goes to Windows 2000.

Probably something similar to this;

Windows XP with all themes removed except for the old Windows 95 theme

W7 in computer science labs and for the laptops, Macs for graphic design and photography

Windows 7 for general purpose. Ubuntu, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP as VMs and some really obscure Linux distros that look weird. They are for the workshop computers. The workshop computers are also occasionally configured for Beowulf cluster use.

What loving sucks is that the VMs are user-shared resources so what one user does will also take affect in my next login.

We've got mostly windows 7 machines, but the recording studio and some other places have Mac OSX for video editing.

XP everywere and mac in the lab. They can run blockland v19 decently though

before i was homeschooled, the school i went to used only windows XP. from what i've gathered from my sister, the high school uses a mix of mac and windows (but i don't know what specific OS)

XP, XP and XP.

Now though, I'm homeschooled. So windows 7 <3
