Author Topic: Why would I "Quit" Blockland?  (Read 2404 times)

Why would I press the button "Quit", when closing the console closes the program much faster?

What are the advantages of pressing the button? Why does it take longer?

The game may not save preferences and stuff properly if you force quit it like that. Using the quit button gives it a chance to do important things.

Fixed.

It's the same idea as holding the power button on your computer or going into the start menu and clicking "Shut down"

It just gives it time to do stuff

The thing is, you'll eventually break something if you do that to a computer, while Blockland doesn't seem to take any damage whatsoever.

IF you do that while loading your cache.db will become a 1GB+ large file of useless corrupted stuff.

Just delete it and move on.

because using console is dumb and breaks everything

It's a pain if your in fullscreen mode

because using console is dumb and breaks everything
but it doesn't?

Doesn't save stuff you did like editing welcome message, avatar appearance etc.

I don't even see why people would just close the console the shut the game down. The quit button is accessible from the main menu and the escape menu.

No.

Most American's are silly/too lazy.
That's why our obesity rate is so loving too high.
Oh wait, don't forget another reason: McDonalds.
