Let me start off by saying, this isn't the topic for you to play around in and make useless jokes, this is a thread where people can discuss the things I'm about to mention.
Anywho, the major question I have for you guys is,
What do you want to do with your life?
This can apply to all age groups, as you always have the ability to extend your knowledge.
However, this thread mostly applies to people inside high school, who are just starting to think about what the want to do upon graduation.
My response:
Truthfully, I've been thinking of three paths I want to follow, as I'm a sophomore in high school, I have a bit of time to think about them each.
1) I want to do ROTC Marines, the college I would attend would be Virginia Tech, going for Electrical Engineering. Then I would pull a full career in the Marine Scout Snipers, and retire with my degree to fall back on.
2) I also have been interested and intrigued by welding my entire life, and I was thinking about finishing my last two years in high school at a career center for welding. After graduation I would attend a real trade school and get my certifications. I would be a highrise welder.
3) My last, and newest, addition to my list is computer programming. This is new because I've only recently taken interest into the actual programming aspect of computers, I would more than likely partner a business with my uncle who already has his own.
My issue, is that each of these paths have different reasons for being chosen, number 1 allows me to know I'll have a safe and secure job and paycheck. Number two allows me to fulfill my childhood dreams of being like my father. And number 3 is my true passion, but my risks are quite high with it.
I'm not asking for advice (although it is permitted), I just want to know what you guys are thinking about for your life!
