What do you want to do with your life?

Im not 100% sure yet

I either want to :

1) After graduating high school go on to a technical college for HVAC and Carpentry. Mainly Carpentry
2) Join the Marines and or Army. Possibly going to college
3) Go to a college and then go into Law Enforcement

My dad used to work in the field using HVAC, he absolutely hated it, but if you think you like it go ahead man!

Web design is a hard field to get a job in these days :/

I don't want to major web design, its just an elective I'm taking
I want to be in computer sciences (specifically programming)

if at all possible, either MIT or University of California Berkeley, then software engineer at whatever company

Programmers and software engineers are in huge demand right now, and I don't expect the demand to shrink. There is /always/ a job for a software engineer.

For a long time I wanted to be a carpenter, but the times are extremely tough and I just don't want to be out of a job for long

Have you ever looked into biomedical engineering, they earn nice paychecks and it seems like pretty cool stuff
