Even if that were possible in tekkit, with their supplies and know-how of tekkit, I would be shocked if they didn't do that.

They had a forcefield up though. It's horribly useless though since you can just dig up under it.

I actually dismantled my base just now too and moved all vital resources to another location 600 meters away. I am tempted to build my base in the loving sky, jetpack access only.
