Not best game companies, not the ones with the most upvotes, the most popular. You, as a 16 year old who hasn't worked in the game industry nor have you done any research on the marketing or selling of products, have not a single right to say what game companies are popular and what aren't. It just so happens that Valve is selling quite a bit of games at the time and as is EA. Bethesda isn't selling that many games and therefore is lower on the list. It's not a fail placement, it's a realistic placement.

ModDB, to my knowledge, does place these based on upvotes or most user joined per month or something along those lines.
still, my suggested placement is better.

people buy EA's over-hyped games and rage when they have no balance to them.

example, C&C 3
Hard Nod Steamroller AI, difficult, but not impossible to defeat, wont suggest a 1v1 with one if you dont do well vs a turtle AI.
Hard GDI steamroller AI, same thing...but spam AA or you WILL lose.
Hard Scrin Steamroller AI, impossible, rolls over you in seconds of game start and wins before you get a WF.

...And EA, which, by the way, has been selling millions of games for the last couple decades, being on not even the top three of the most popular game companies list provoked a rage thread at EA and your jimmies being rustled so hard that your panties got in a twist? there's no loving quality control in the overconsolized drivel that EA, Ubisoft, Activision, and Bethesda stuff out. the reason Valve is top of that list is because they at least have some attempt in bugfixing a few of their games. no stuff, not all of their stuff is top-notch and some of it is even neglected (like alien swarm) but they clearly give more than half a stuff about their community.
