why is it that someone gets banned for posting about pirating a movie or something but anyone can talk about like stealing stuff or doing illegal drugs or something similar? seems kinda weird imo.

Because pirating takes place online, and Badspot doesn't want to get in trouble. Where as drugs are in real life, and people don't give away their locations or anything of that sort.

because anyone can pirate stuff like RIGHT NOW

as soon as you mention pirating something, someone could be like, "OH HEY GOOD IDEA ILL DO THAT TOO, JUST LET ME TAKE A FEW SECONDS TO DO IT RIGHT NOW"

at least that's my opinion

It's really more so that piracy is offensive to a game developer and that it's an explicitly stated rule for the forums. Nowhere on the forum rule list is it stated that you can't talk about illegal drugs or underage consumption of alcohol/etc.

It should be a rule not to discuss stuff like drugs here.
This is a lego game for 9 year old children, if you want to talk about the thug lyfe go to a community that specializes in it.
