Post cool and interesting facts!

The internet is estimated around 6 exobytes in 2006,
BUT DID YOU KNOW
That the amount of electrons it takes to hold all the data on the internet would weigh  approximately 2 millionths of an ounce?

Capillaries are small blood vessels in your body that can be so small that they carry 1 cell at a time
BUT DID YOU KNOW
That if you put them all into a long tube, your capillaries would encircle the world 2 and a half times?

Did you know that I'm awesome? heh heh

I read somewhere that the electrons of the data would weight less than a gram, so 0.035274 ounces. I'm pretty sure it's less than a gram because electrons have such tiny mass.

Did you know that MTV censored "Dope Nose" from the implication that dope meant a drug, but made three or four movies about stupid dangerous stuff and airs shows about teenage pregnancy?

If I remember correctly, an electron's mass is around 1/1800 unit mass or 9x10^-31 kg.

Oo
More physics interest:

During beta decay, a neutron turns into a proton via emitting a W- boson and an anti-neutrino. The boson then changes into an electron, or beta minus particle.

To figure that out, folks at the YouTube channel VSauce estimated the size of the Internet—at 5 million terabytes of information—and multiplied that by the weight of one electron. The result? All the photos, emails, celebrity gossip, Facebook updates, and everything else come to just 0.2 millionths of an ounce, or about the same as a single grain of sand.

-snip-

That would be true it one byte of data was stored using an electron, but in reality, I do believe it uses many.

Perhaps a little biology fact:

Blood from the lungs travel from through the pulmonary vein after being oxygenated. It then enters the heart through the left atrium, and then runs into the left ventrical before being pumped out the aorta at an incredible pressure, so much so, that if you were to rupture your aorta, then you would bleed out in seconds and also drown as your body cavity would fill with blood. :)

67% of all percentages are made up on the spot

did you know that EA failed to buy steam?

fun fact

a black hole created directly from energy, normally heat/kinetic, is known as a 'kugelblitz.'

therefore, a good [yet nerdy] pickup line is, 'you're a kugelblitz.'

\therefore, a good [yet nerdy] pickup line is, 'you're a kugelblitz.'

"girl i want you to change the amount of potential and kinetic energy of my snake back and forth all night long"

Did you know that this isn't a fact? And it isn't fun?

Dr Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham was the result of a bet between Seuss and his publisher that he could not write a book using exactly fifty different words.

fun fact

if you took every nerve and blood vessel from a single human and layed it on the ground, the human would die?
