Author Topic: The 2012 End of the World  (Read 2541 times)

Why do people still think that the world is going to end this year even though it's been scientifically disproven several hundred times?
I would seriously like to know.

Funny. I've heard more people complain about the ones who think the world is going to end, more than people talking about how they actually think it is going to end.

I can't wait for the reactions of news channels on the 21st December.

So I'm actually hyped for it.

Mayans were richard-suckers to their gods
don't trust them

Nostrodamus predicted the rise of Riddler and what not. He said the world was going to end in 1999. boy was he wrong
but it almost did

The modern day mayans say the calender is bullstuff. The calender just resets anyway. Afterall a wheel doesn't end it just keeps spinning.

Nostradamus made super vague predictions that were almost impossible to not occur in some way shape or form which you could later assosciate his predictions with.

It's the case of some person 500 years ago saying "In the future a tower will fall and many will be hurt", and then us saying that he predicted 9/11, despite the fact that Towers fall all the loving time and are never going to remain forever, and when towers fall, it's very likely for someone to get hurt if nearby.

I think it got a load of hype for whatever obviously fake reasons, but then it became well spread and a popular idea and has influenced many things in the last few years.

We've had movies and games and books and songs and all sorts based off of on idea. Which I think is great. I don't think the world will end this December, nor do I think many people believe it will. But I'm glad the concept of 2012 got well-spread, because it's made a nice impact on our culture for the last few years, and likely will afterwards.

I'll be fappin when it happens

They literally say this every 6 years. It won't happen.

Hey the world is going to end on that date because we say so!

"Oh my loving god it's going to end"

Afterward

"Look! Aliens"

Aliens exit spacecraft

"Your all loving gullible and deserves to die. Bye!"

"stuff"

2012 ends, then the conspiracy guys are like, "Sorry guys we got it wrong, the new day is blah blah". Just like June 6, 2006. I'm going to predict people will think June 6, 6666 ad will be the new doomsday prediction.

i can predict things too.

here's a prediction of mine:

someone will make a topic on dec 20th saying "the end of the world is gonna happen tommorow" with some possible additions or small title differences.

in the future it will magically happen, watch!

but then the op will get banned and the world won't explode!

I wonder how many people will commit Self Delete so they don't have to "Feel the apocalypse man. . ."
