Author Topic: Need help on math problem  (Read 1990 times)

in physics im getting problems like

(m1v1)+(m2v2)=v1'(m1+m2)

in math (geometry) it's all about triangle things, like SAS, ASA, AAS, SSS, bluh.

Just wait until you start quantum mechanics!

just looking at the word quantum makes me want to die

@ everyone yelling at OP for being a "moron"

he's 13 years old.  this is around when most kids should be learning the beginnings of algebra and solving equations for variables.  calm your loving tits.  i hope everyone who flipped out excessively (extrude) gets banned.

Sometimes I do general math theory stuff when I'm bored and I'm in math class and I can only do math
Like I came up with this:

And there's also a recurrence relation for the square root function that I found:
Sqrt(n) = sqrt(n-1)+1/(sqrt(n-1)+1/(sqrt(n-1) + ... ))

i hate geometry

I don't care how easy; writing geometric proofs pisses me off. The whole idea of it is insanely handicapped to me.

please explain to a geometry student.

Why would you learn that 40 divided by 2 is 20 at the age of 13?

I'm in trig honors and we're going over these. Are you using sine/cosine laws?

because I learned it.

thats all i'm doing right now
its a waste of paper ugh

We never had to do proofs in Geometry  :cookieMonster:

My teacher was the best.

/ = fraction

40 / 2 = 20

How to Solve:

40 * .5 = 20

How did you get .5?

Assume x is 1.  1/2 = .5, correct?

Can you do another?

x / 10 = 20

1 / 10 = .1

200 / .1 = 20

DISCLAIMER: Ignore the people telling you to divide. They probably are in 6th grade, and don't know what fractions are.

x/2=20
(20/1)x/2=20(20/1)
(20/1)x/2(eliminate 20)
