Author Topic: How do you color in Blender?  (Read 1488 times)

Well I just finished a really nice head and I wanna color it. Also, how do I get a decal on it?

add textures? (that are a solid color)
i used to remember how to do it

You go onto properties, there should be a circle or seomthing tab, anyways, you go onto that and you click new, then you will see an RGB color scroller.
If your using cycles you have to use nodes.
I hate nodes.

did not understand that, where is properties?

that helped but how do I stick a default happy face from blockland?

go to the tab on the right, look for the cloth-looking thing with the red and white checkers. press it.

where it asks for Type: None, put Type: Image or Movie, then by image, press OPEN and find your texture. press it, open it.

once you have your texture, scroll down a bit to where it says "mapping" and change the projection from flat to whatever type you have,

if your shape is organic, then just put whatever its most similar too, press F12 to render, and it should show the texture.

I did everything you said and it didn't appear on the cube.
