Author Topic: GPU (or my CPU) isn't performing well  (Read 1459 times)

Games on my computer aren't performing well. Saints row the third lags on high even though its recommended for my computer and blockland shaders lag on very high. This is poor for the ATI mobility radeon 5650 1 GB. I also have a intel core i7. How do I tell what's clogging up my CPU and GPU because I know I probably have a bunch of stuffware on my computer.

Also my computer takes 23 seconds to boot up windows 7 and I know that's bad.

Your GPU is terrible. There's nothing wrong with anything else.

My computer takes 15 seconds, and it doesn't even take half that time, something must be hogging your hard drive space. If not, your ram.

I've found that disabling aero made my old computer run faster.

Its 2 years old and could run games great when I first got my computer.

My computers HD is 500 GB and only 100 GB is free.

You have am average laptop. What would you expect from an integrated graphics card anyway, it's a piece of crap and I doubt it can even launch SR3 in DX11.

It can launch it on DX11 and oddly enough i checked and it is dedicated.

12 GB of RAM

Well yeah, it can only really be your CPU.

My computer is from 2007 and can handle skyrim, at high pretty good, even when it was vista with only 2gb of ram.

I know. It can run games like TF2 and skyrim max'd out with no lag. But what I am mainly talking about is sometimes my computer chokes and takes a long time to load. Applications like google chrome crash more now then before. I want to know how to find the stuff hogging my computer CPU or GPU and get rid of it.

What's your specs on windows experience index?
