Author Topic: Dedicated server  (Read 860 times)

Hi,

Last time I played Blockland was in maybe 2009.
To host a dedicated server back then was easy. All you had to do was to run the Dedicated file in your directory.
Now when I'm back I can't find any file which let me run it dedicated?
Is it even still possible?

Thanks!

Idk, ask kalphiter.

also, welcome back!

Re-install blockland and tick the dedicated server option when going through the process.

That's a terribly unconventional way to do it.

Here is how, take the Blockland shortcut on your desktop and make a copy of it.
Right click on the copied one and hit properties.
Go to the very end of the target field and add a space, then type "-dedicated".
Hit Ok and then run the shortcut you modified, you should rename it too for your own convenience.

Thanks pecon98. But what shall I press after I've selected properties? Becouse I can't seem to open it with notepad.

You're not opening it with notepad.
You're editing the shortcut properties.

Nothing to download there? o_O

Open notepad
Type, "start BlocklandLauncher.exe -dedicated"
"Save as" a .BAT File

It says It can't find the file name "Blocklandlauncher.exe"

Okay theeen,

Make a new shortcut of Blockland
Right-click, properties:
At the end of the target, add a space, and "-dedicated"
