then hit the tree more, silly.
thats a joke,
right?Theres a reason CityRPG had a bad name
thats because everyone who tries to fix it or remake it always puts in Mining/Woodcutting/Farming
few things:
1) This doesnt happen in a loving City, what don't you understand about CityRPG? And don't pull "BUT DIS IS BLCKLAND U CNA DO ENYTING" because if you didn't know "RPG" means role playing game. And if your for example role playing in a FarmingRPG, hes not going to loving put in a gunshop and a loving police house, thats completely irrelevant.
2) ITS NOT FUN. no one enjoys sitting down and holding down the left mouse button until they see the block change color or disappear. Whether or not its a tree or ore. The reason Iban's CityRPG3 worked so well was because you didn't need to cut trees or mine ore to get money. Shops were
actually important and they werent just random stuff.
3) It doesn't add to gameplay, all your doing is making getting to the good/fun stuff even longer and people will leave before they can get there.
4) When there isn't a lot of fun stuff happening because 75% of the population is mining/cutting the other 1/4 gets bored and RDMs, then conflict happens and it turns into a stuffty server. if everyone is actively contributing to gameplay, like making a shop or robbing a store and police going after him, then theres less RDMing and more RPGing.
5) the only reason Iban's CityRPG3's mining/woodcutting system worked at all was because it was a seriously minor part of gameplay. No one actually did it and if they did they also did something else or worked for someone. Often times in CRP3 people would mine for others for X amount of time and got payed X amount if they gave all the lumber/ore to the person. Then that person had some reason for it, whether it was putting it into building or selling it. The most time anyone spent mining and cutting is when they got put in jail. even then when Iban turned on Jail escaping my friends would come by break the jail door and break me out...
... oh the good times.
