You forgot the DNS.

<cmd <ipconfig

Dont have one.

Besides its optional.

Weird, my local IP changes all the time. You sure your local never changes? How many devices do you have in your house, and did you set your IP static?
my local IP never changes and i have a dynamic IP

<cmd <ipconfig

Dont have one.

Besides its optional.

"DNS Suffix" has nothing to do with what you're supposed to type. And yes, you do have "a DNS".

Okay I'm just going to close this with:

You really have no idea what you're talking about, you're just desperate to get the last word.

And yes, you do have "a DNS".
Wouldn't he have to type out every webserver's IP otherwise?

Your really stupid. :(

You haven't figured out how to use proper grammar yet, have you?

It's always funny to see people mess up WHILE CALLING OTHER PEOPLE STUPID.

I was going to say that about you, but whatever. I mean, I didn't prove you wrong like 5 times, but ok.

What

Lol no.

Excuse me? I don't know what I'm talking about?

I port forward everything in 5 seconds without any issue. And yes, I did time myself once just to prove a point.

And not only do I need to port forward through one router, but two. Yes, that's right, I had to set up a second network to connect through the first one. I've done network bridging for not only physical devices but also virtual devices. I've looked up information on domains and domain name systems (DNS). I've worked on a webserver system (originally by truce) in order to accept different kinds of commands. I know exactly what the hosts file does. I know what DMZ is.

Yet you sit here and tell me that you don't need DNS? That Hamachi is a viable alternative? Where have you proved me wrong? You still haven't even set up a static IP. You're probably just lucky that you have a router that's idiot-proof and provides a DNS for you if you for some reason forget to supply one.

Lol no.
Here. Connect your computer directly to the modem.
Acquire IP automatically.
Manually input DNS
Leave it blank.

Tell me your results while using this setup.

I'm not even trying to forward my ports, are you trying to prove something? I don't even know that much about port forwarding. All I'm trying to say is that  Hamachi is useful for dim-witted 12 year olds who can't figure out how to setup a network.

Besides, I'm not going to get involved in port forwarding when I can just use Hamachi, perfect for what I want to do; play games with my friends. Besides, I'm pretty sure blueblur wanted help on setting up a minecraft server h, not telling everyone how smart you are.

You tell me that I have no idea what I'm talking about, then when I throw nearly all my experience at you, you back down and say 'i can't do this stuff this guy can't either'? Anyways. Thanks for finally admitting you were wrong about networking. Took you long enough.

Hamachi is made for playing LAN-only multiplayer games. Great, you misuse it and cause inconvenience to others and their network performance. Don't suggest it to others.

The best solution is figuring out how to port forward. It really isn't that hard. I was about 13 or 14? when I first did it. I did not mess up once, got it all right on my first try. There's a very easy to use guide online at portforward.com and really, the only people who have troubles following it are the ones who are too lazy to look at their router model, or skim the steps. By that point it's their own fault.

You even said it yourself, that Hamachi isn't a good solution if you want to have a server with lots of people on it, and he said nothing about hosting it for only his friends.

I'm also sure you can stop calling this kid a dim-wit. He's one of the very few 12 year olds on here using almost-correct grammar.

And if someone can't figure out how to do something, don't give them a stuffty alternative. You teach them how to do it. Humans are great at learning things. Stop taking shortcuts. That's why people are so loving dumb and fat. They take shortcuts to get a lesser reward that they convince themselves is satisfying.

We've taught several users how to port forward. So get the forget out of the way.

Did I say I know how to forward ports? No. Did I say that I was a networking pro? No. I was simply suggesting an easy program for someone like blueblur to use, since the chance is that he probably cant figure out how to forward his ports. How did you throw all your experience at me? You had a few short posts;  'id like to see u fill it in' 'prove it' Your just telling me stuff I already I know.
