To think, the guys who did this stuff had to fly around in planes and take photos. Like forget, Bing really wants people to use it.

I would think they used satellites that could "zoom in," for lack of better terms, very close to land. But if they used planes then damn that's some great unnecessary dedication.

..google maps has this too, more or less, once you zoom in enough. i think you might have to have the beta version enabled or some stuff tho.

Google maps only has it in select major citys like Paris, London or Rome

Wow thats pretty cool. I think it feels a little more 3 Dimensional than google so I guess thats good.

The birds eye mapping for Towson MD is so outdated that my high school still has it's old stadium and Target has its old "castle towers" entrance.

My home is not the same one in the birds eye view.
