It's true. The adults are far too stubborn to open up to forward-thinking ideals because of when they were born. Plus, a lot of adults seem to be of the mindset that because they've been alive for forty, fifty years, they know everything and can't be proven wrong. It's why my lifetime aspiration is to be a teacher - all you can do is try to educate the younger generation to make the world a better place for people of all creeds, races, genders, loveualities, and anything else. If we want to move forward, we have to look forward. Not back!

But it's possible for some to take their wisdom and experience for what was bad, and then use that to know how to move forward without troubles.

First off, they should still know the consequences of battle and that they need to be ready to die.

Well I'm sure if we withdraw all our soldiers from the Middle East conflict, the terrorists can just fly over here and waltz in with guns and explosives through the security that's so tight they'll manhandle seriously ill patients and deprive them of their medication just so they can ensure it's safe. And if they can't get through that, well, they'll just hijack a plane, because I'm sure that nothing in this country is prepared for that to happen! Nope, no sir, a terrorist has never hijacked an airplane and caused massive destruction in America, nope, no-how. They could steal military bombers and fly over here! I'm sure our intricate defense network with enough SAM sites and AA guns to blow up Canada won't be able to deal with them. Let's not forget the National Guard and the Navy that loves patrolling around our borders. They're so inept that they'll just let the terrorists slip right through the hulking battleships so they can eliminate the millions of soldiers inland.
