reasons why i think these forums are so "addictive"

I used to be a Roblox forumer when I was about 12. Horrible forum, avatars are pics of your in game avatars, there is no post quoting, noposting pictures, no emotes, no hotlinking, you can't edit posts, once its there its set in stone, horrible community, no signatures, no font changing, no text color changing, I could go on forever. Blockland forum, on the other hand, is awesome, it's community is 1000 times better, and this place more addicting than meth.

also, and this is just my opinion, i think tumblr is better than any forum in general, why?
its like the opposite of a forum
on a forum, you see every thread and every post, and if you dislike someone you have to either specifically block them if the forum allows it or download a browser addon or deal with it
on tumblr, you start off and you dont see anything, then you pick what you do want to see and follow those people, this way you dont see annoying people unless you choose to follow them
