Wait, will the entire territory of Peurto Rica have to take a citizenship test?

Or will they automatically become citizens?

If so, Naturalized or Natural-Born?

brother I need answers
They're already citizens. Anyone born in Puerto Rico is a natural-born US citizen, it's been that way for over a hundred years.

Puerto Rico has 1 non-voting representative, and ZERO electors for president. It has no part of the American system: it cannot vote for its country's leaders, a meaningful representative position nor for 2 senators. It has 6.5 times more people than the least populated state, Wyoming. If it can't reach statehood, it at least needs appropriate representation such as 6 representatives in the House.

Did Wyoming surpass Alaska in that regard? o.O

Alaska is 47th.

Washington DC at least has electors, but no voting representatives.

why does DC exist anyway

why does DC exist anyway

Why does anything exist? Because it has a history, and some decisions are just made in the moment.

Anyways, the reason is it keeps the federal government impartial to any particular state.

to separate the president/congress/senate from any one state.

yeah the circle is best by far. similar to the original US flag :D

I don't see where it says it's actually becoming a state, in that link.

The third one in the OP looks the best.
It reminds me of the old flags with 13 stars in a circle.

65 percent favored statehood, followed by 31 percent for sovereign free association and 4 percent for independence.

Both President Barack Obama and rival Mitt Romney said they supported the referendum, with Obama pledging to respect the will of the people if there was a clear majority. Any change would require approval by the U.S. Congress.

Essentially, they voted that they want to become a state, and Congress is ready to accept them.

That doesn't say Congress is ready to accept them.

That doesn't say Congress is ready to accept them.
It doesn't say it but it implies it. Both parties support their annexation; Obama even pledged to respect their wishes.

why does DC exist anyway
Well it was built on a stinky swamp that no one wanted to live. Anyway I would assume it would have to equalitity and that the capital belongs to everyone and not one state.
