Author Topic: Genuine Windows 8 64bit Tablet Needed  (Read 550 times)

Hey guys I'm having a tough time with Google finding me decent tablets that run on intel processors and are actually good.  Could you help me :(

i'm more than positive you've already found/heard of the microsoft surface and for some reason turned that down, but i'll still suggest it just in case, since it seems like the first and most obvious answer.

Runs on Windows RT

they have a pro version coming out soon, i believe

not sure if it runs 64bit though, and i don't think companies sell tablet parts you can use to build a tablet and install a custom OS on, like they do with computer parts

you'll probably just have to deal with 32bit - not sure if a tablet really needs 64bit though

I remember some talk about MS possibly dropping 32-bit support after Win8, so I doubt their reference pro model would use it.

I thought the only tablet version was 64bit.  If they have decent intel run 32bit then im fine

i think it's next month that the microsoft surface version comes out that runs full win8. but i don't know specifics.

apart from that, i'd actually go with one of the intel ultrabooks. I played around with the Asus one a few weeks ago at an event in chicago and it was pretty neat. Though I hate windows so I'd never buy one.
