HE IS DEAD
OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

honestly the artwork effort is too much for a BL forum adventure unless those things take you like 3 minutes to do

each portrait can take from an hour to two hours depending on my motivation, and backgrounds have to be done over the course of a day
update should hopefully be ready by wednesday

don't die, thread
why must the good die young

alright so i'm beginning to realize how really inefficient this is
like seriously this is taking longer than homestuck, a comic made by copy pasting old drawings in different layers in photoshop
i might decide to just use what i used as rough drafts as the final art instead of going through the entire refining process
i'll add a poll in a moment so you see what i mean

i think

that you should use the high detail one

but not spend so much time on it while sacrificing detail

like not adding that much shading

i feel like it'd look kind of silly like that; i'll bust out the magic wand and try to revert the current example background to the pre-shading state, since i never saved that, and we'll see

poll updated and reset with a number of options
a number of notes:
1. the time estimates were done with backgrounds in particular in mind since i'd be doing them more; you can generally just divide the estimate in time for the amount of time spent on character portraits
2. the time estimates are estimates of total time, not counting in time not spent working on them. i'll generally do works in sittings of an hour or two, and i'll usually have the time for at most two sittings of work in one day.
3. if a black and white style is chosen, i'll probably have to change the look of the so-called "GUI" to fit, but, hell, we'll cross that bridge if we ever get there

As much as I love watching you go insane over making your art just right, I think that the flat colors would be best. Maybe you can make everything really pretty if you ever do turn this into an actual RenPy game, but for now you should prioritize efficiency.

not quite dead

interior design fun tip #232: got a random empty space that you can't think of anything put in? pottery! plants! picture frames! vague prisms that may or may not be electronics!
i would fondle egoraptor like there was no tomorrow

exterior design tip #234r5t: fill empty space you don't feel like drawing with scribbles, then call them plants!
i'm going to pump out as much as i can to have an update ready by thanksgiving, and i'll try and prepare resources in advance once i get the chance too so we can have kind of a buffer

hi
hi

give it another week or so, i'm trying to do this alongside setting up a gaming blog/story depository with sham, and then there's my usual lack of motivation

you honestly should be an architect or interior designer with those clean, crisp design drawings

actually, i took a CAD class sophomore year; i think it really helped my understanding of perspective and good techniques to make everything solid looking
