Brazil nuts are more radioactive than microwaves.

*disclaimer: this is probably not true, but the video in the op is dumb nonetheless.*

**disclaimer disclaimer: Brazil nuts are actually radioactive**

That's why you're not supposed to stand so close to microwaves.

Although, If i recall correctly microwaves do give away small amounts of radiation along with other various devices
he's right in so many way, microwaves use radiation to cook stuff.

no.

Microwaves cause water molecules to vibrate.

Since molecular vibration represents heat, the water heats up and the food cooks.

And visible light is higher in the electromagnetic spetrum than microwaves
Higher doesn't necessarily mean more dangerous though. One of the reasons why microwaves can be dangerous is because they emit the frequency that vibrates water molecules, which means they could literally boil your blood. But even this frequency is not too dangerous in small amounts because some cellphones operate on the same frequency.

Infrared is also lower than visible light, but enough of that can hurt you.

Ahhhh, I didn't know how microwave radiation worked, cool.

you're not supposed to stand close to microwaves because being too close to a microwave will basically cause all the water in your body to boil, which is the reason why living organisms explode in the microwave.

Um, no. The insides of microwaves have plenty of shielding so the radiation doesn't escape. Haven't you ever wondered why the window looks like it does?

That's the reasoning behind it, i never said you couldn't watch your popcorn or whatever.

Fun fact: Lightbulbs, computers, stoves, your computer monitor, your backpack, and your television all give off radiation.

Infrared radiation.

See what happens when you oversimplify important terms? These guys aren't using science to justify their argument.

"The microwave is destroying the food!"

This leaves tons of questions and experiments unanswered/incomplete.

For example:
What is specifically considered 'food' in food?
How are the microwaves destroying the 'food'?
Is microwave food demonstrably unhealthier than unmicrowaved food?
Does microwaved food react chemically in a different fashion than food heated on a stove/fire?

You are a handicap.

Actually no, microwaves use microwaves to cook food. I'm just assuming that you're using the word 'radiation' to describe 'ionizing radiation'(gamma rays, etc) which microwave ovens do not produce.

If you want to know how microwaves work, read up on dielectric heating.

How will sticking your face into a microwave not kill you, it makes small animals explode too. Saying that being exposed to microwaves won't hurt you is like saying sticking hot hair curlers up your ass is safe.

Except you said, "stand close to microwaves".

I can run a microwave for 10 minutes with my face pressed right up near where the magnetron is, and absolutely nothing will happen.

Fun fact. Microwaves are a form of light (technically speaking), just like Radio waves.

And no microwaves wont kill you unless you stick your head in them. Or they fall on you.

unless you break the front panel open, microwaves generally won't run unless the door is closed.

and yes micro waves are literally waves of light
but i consider micro waves to be light waves,
but microwaves a popular kitchen appliance
