Giving credits is a minimum. You can save and reuse, but not say you built it! wtf!

Thread is full of win.

I've got a forgetton of builds from other servers, and it's only gonna get bigger.

but are you claiming them as your own or are you just messing around with them
because there's a big difference

When you save someone else's build doesn't it save under they're ownership and you can't edit it or claim it's yours?

you can enable or disable brick ownerships

you can enable or disable brick ownerships

Shouldn't be allowed unless the owner allows it or something.

I support my build under my name in bricks.
What now?

If you really want to mess with someone, edit your brick packs to be slightly different by adding a comment or something in the server.cs. Trying to load a build from that server anywhere else won't work since the brick files won't match.

place extra bricks for support
delete name
???
profit

You obviously haven't seen how I build it that way. You can't (or it would be very hard) to support it without removing the name first wich would destroy the build above.

I see no issue with taking the build, ever. It's not like the creator loses anything.

even if the person taking the build takes full credit for it even though they didn't make it?

I just use them.

Claiming it as your own is kinda unnecessary in my opinion.

personally i think it's ok to save someone else's build if you're just using it for reference/to look at/etc, but if you're claiming as your own then that's stealing and not ok

Which is really what the OP is addressing. Whether it's claiming or stealing in general, people just need to get over the fact that people are going to want to save a forgetton of time by "stealing" builds.

its pointless to save my builds because ill be releasing them later on
