Author Topic: Hosting server will not let anyone join PLEASE HELP!  (Read 2293 times)

I am not a newbie to Blockland, confirming that I have been a registered player since 2011. I am aware that I have a problem creating servers. A while back, I created a server to invite my friends to, you know, a hangout server. Then the problem occurred. All of those friends trying to join my server said that "It won't let me join, all it says is Sending Punch Packets"
I knew how to fix that problem, it was a problem with the user's wifi. When I joined a game and it said "Sending Punch Packets" I would restart my router for 30 seconds.

But it's very unlikely for 6 different people to have wifi issues at the same time.

A few days later, I hosted a Dedicated server. I attempted to join the server, until the evil message "Sending Punch Packets" appeared. I tried reseting my router, tried unplugging my ethernet cable, and tried restarting my computer. I even checked to see if Blockland was firewalled, but it was allowed through all of my security software.

I am completely sure that this problem has nothing to do with my router. I bought a new computer after my old one crashed. I was able to host servers 24/7 a while ago. Please help, because I really want to be able to host my own servers again!

Thanks.

Is uPnP enabled in the Options menu on the game?

ALSO, "Disable upnp" is not checked. If there's a guide on ANYTHING, please make it simple,
as I am terrible with understanding this network stuff. My router is an embarq.

no need to quote the whole thing again.

you didn't need to cover your IP, everyone sees it when connecting.

uPnP is not the issue here, as it is broken with it on or off.

UPnP seems finicky to me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It would be best if you follow Greek2me's post, that is the best way to go.

Ignore the above post people. I thought I could edit the post. Forgot that the help section doesn't allow you to do that.

I did what Greek said, still nothing.
