The most annoying computer monitor problem in the entire world

Alright, so I didn't know what to Google, so I came here.

I've been having a problem for a few months now, that whenever my computer screen has been off for awhile, maybe a few hours, the next time I turn it on, it turns back off. Every time it turns itself off, I have to turn it back on like twenty loving times before it stays on. Now, this would be easy, y'know, to just press the button a lot really fast...except, I have to wait for the screen to turn back on and turn off. I could press the button as much as I want, I tried it, but nothing will come from it.

So, I really have no idea, what to do...

I guess the obvious thing to do is check and make sure the cables are plugged all the way into it, your computer and the power outlet.

Outside of that I haven't the faintest idea.

One of my monitors has a bunch of lines that move vertically across the screen. Its really easy to see over certain colors and kind of annoying.

My current Monitor is a 1024x768 LCD Monitor with TV Support, and Game support, and Built in speakers....just one drawback, there 1 pixel on the entire screen that is green.

It still turns on and off though, and supports up to 720p.

My monitor (TV, actually) dosen't have buttons its just sensors for buttons, and also it seems to make spots of red every time I turn it on. size = 1920x1080 (1080p)

OP's monitor control panel is borked, I have a similar issue with my Acer AL1916.
Whenever I try to turn the monitor off, it opens the menu. Whenever I push both the menu button and the power button at the same time, it actually turns off. I have to do the same thing to turn it on.
I popped out the power button (probably shouldn't have done that but I did anyways,) cleaned the years of grime built up around the edges of the button, and popped it back in. It occasionally doesn't work, but I don't have to push Menu to turn it on or off anymore.

There's no warranty so you should just crack it open and start cleaning it and experimenting.
