Author Topic: Tulpa Thread v2 (OP is truth-retrofit for your pleasure)  (Read 10059 times)

Wilfred.

Actually makes me wonder if anyone tried doing this but with the added twist of seeing their actual dog as a guy in a dog costume.
Pew446 might do that

This op is horrifying and silly. I still hate it.

Making a tulpa primarily for love is disturbing.

Let me emphasize the fact, which the op does not, that you should not be creating a tulpa if you are already worrying about how you are going to get rid of it. The DIY is stupid and oversimplifies the process and screwed anyone attempting it up. The link to the tutorials is broken and its generally written in a way that makes it seem like tulpa are things to be created and thrown away like toys. Change it before you forget up more peoples perceptions of tulpa and make it more difficult for people to make one. (or attract stupid people here who just want to troll)

I know nothing about the subject, sadly.

I'd appreciate it if someone who actually knows about this subject gives me a tutorial.

i like to think everyone with a "tulpa" just has a differently-colored tuba with a wig following them around

it makes it funnier

replace the op with a link to tulpa.info and say "educate thyself"

I imagine loving your tupla would be like having a wet dream, but entirely awake for it. Or something? I'm not entirely educated on tupla love.

heard somewhere that if you asked your tulpa a question that you can't remember at the moment but have memory of, it will know because it is a manifestation of your thoughts, this true?

Don't have love with it, or love will be imprinted in the "consciousness thread" of your tulpa,

brb having love with tulpa

theres really multiple ways to make a tulpa
it depends on what you want to be able to do with it, and how quickly you want to make it, and how much effort youre willing to put into it
if you flesh out the personalit first, sentience might come faster
if you dont want to you can jump straight into narrating and visualization
the main thing is you should keep imposing until last

theres probably typoes in this but im on a phone

I accidentaly a nosferatu tulpa. forget

Guys I am really intrigued with this and its been on my mind since when I first saw this. I have a few questions and concerns:

1. Do you see your tulpa in the real world with you or is it more of a close your eyes kinds thing?

2. There are a lot of different guides out there and they all conflict and confuse me. How should i go about creating one?

3. Is feeling lonely and having nobody there a good reason to create one?

4. Can I make a tulpa look like a cartoon character?

5. Will it forget up if I know beforehand what I want it to look like without imagining something new?

6. Can a tulpa possess me autonomously? with my consent?

7. If you can feel your tulpa but stick your hand right through it, how does that work?

8. How do you summon your tulpa? Is it there all the time?

9. Do I have to talk to it out loud or can I do it in my head?

10. By "Narrorating" what do you mean? Narrorate a book? My life? Talk to myself in my head?

11. How do I start? When does it become visible? I'm really confused on creation.

12. How do I make it appear? Do I think about it over and over? How will I know it is working?

13. Can I make one if I have a short attention span? Problems concentrating?

14. Can I work on it anywhere? Do I need a set amount of time? What if I don't have much private time?

15. How long does it take? I've seen guides that say a day, I've seen guides that say months.

16. By "Don't follow the guide directly", In what ways should I deviate?

I may ask more later, but help would be appreciated. Maybe the answers to these could be added to the OP.

Guys I am really intrigued with this and its been on my mind since when I first saw this. I have a few questions and concerns:

1. Do you see your tulpa in the real world with you or is it more of a close your eyes kinds thing? once you've finished creating your tulpa, you can impose it into the real world, and actually be able to see it.

2. There are a lot of different guides out there and they all conflict and confuse me. How should i go about creating one? there are few wrong ways to make a tulpa, but i'll include a simplified guide at the end of this post

3. Is feeling lonely and having nobody there a good reason to create one? yes

4. Can I make a tulpa look like a cartoon character? yes, but you should not expect it to act like said character - more at the end of this post

5. Will it forget up if I know beforehand what I want it to look like without imagining something new? i didn't fully understand this question, sorry

6. Can a tulpa possess me autonomously? with my consent? if you have a fully fledged tulpa who is sentient, you can attempt to have them possess you for a short period of time - but it can cause headaches

7. If you can feel your tulpa but stick your hand right through it, how does that work? i'm not exactly sure, to be honest. i'm assuming it's like a bubble - you can feel it, but if you press too hard your hand goes through

8. How do you summon your tulpa? Is it there all the time? most of the time, your tulpa will be with you, occasionally they'll leave and come back though

9. Do I have to talk to it out loud or can I do it in my head? when you're narrating, it's best to speak out loud or whisper, but in your head works as well

10. By "Narrorating" what do you mean? Narrorate a book? My life? Talk to myself in my head? it's just speaking to your tulpa, about anything, this helps the tulpa "grow" for a lack of a better word

11. How do I start? When does it become visible? I'm really confused on creation. i'll include a guide at the end of this post with more info

12. How do I make it appear? Do I think about it over and over? How will I know it is working? i'm not entirely sure what this means, but you can read the guide i'll write

13. Can I make one if I have a short attention span? Problems concentrating? it'll be more difficult and take more time, but it is possible

14. Can I work on it anywhere? Do I need a set amount of time? What if I don't have much private time? it's best to spend about 30 minutes at the very least on each "session" you spend tulpaforcing

15. How long does it take? I've seen guides that say a day, I've seen guides that say months. it takes much more than a day to have your tulpa become sentient, it depends on which method you use thou. it usually takes at least a month

16. By "Don't follow the guide directly", In what ways should I deviate? didn't quite understand this

I may ask more later, but help would be appreciated. Maybe the answers to these could be added to the OP.
so here's a very very simplified guide
you can start with personality, visualization,  narration, or a combination of the three. if you don't do personality though, it'll take a bit longer for your tulpa to be sentient.

personality: there's several ways to do this, but it basically means talking about your tulpa's personality. you'll have to make a list of traits, likes and dislikes, etc. and then think about them or say them either out loud or in your head, while keeping your tulpa in mind(or if you've done visualization, visualizing them). you can say/think things like "you are [trait]. because of this, [blahblahblahblah]" or "because of [blahblahblahblah], you are [trait]."

visualization: this is just picturing your tulpa in your mind. you have to try to visualize every bit of your tulpa, and get as clear a picture as possible.

i'm also going to bring in something else here
wonderlands: this is something completely optional. some people hate wonderlands, others love them, it's your choice. a wonderland is basically a world/location in your head, be it a castle, beach, house, tent, whatever. to "enter" your wonderland, just picture whatever location you want it to be, and get a clear enough picture. remember to imagine it in first person. then, while still in first person, just imagine walking around the scene. the wonderland can be used for visualization, and when your tulpa is sentient, you can "be" in the wonderland with them. sorry if this doesn't make sense, it's a bit of a weird concept.

narration: talking to your tulpa, in general. the key is to picture your tulpa, or at least think about them, or feel like you're talking to them and not just yourself. it can be talking about anything: your day, a tv show, you can even narrate to them while playing a game or something, and narrate what's happening. you can also try reading a book to them, but tasks like reading/gaming can be more difficult to do while keeping your tulpa in mind, so some people prefer to just talk about random things.
note that your tulpa probably will not respond early on. this is the reason you narrate - to get your tulpa to respond. if they do respond in the very first session, it's probably parroting - you speaking for them.

other tasks: something else you can do is first visualize your tulpa, and them imagine touching them - thinking about how the texture of their skin or fur feels. this allows you to touch them after imposition
you can also think about other senses - smell, for example.
and voice is also something important - you should think about what kind of voice your tulpa will have. you can try imagining the tulpa saying something (which is parroting) once or twice, but don't do it repetitively. you can also imagine the walk cycle of your tulpa, etc

access into subconscious: i might describe this poorly, but i'll try. this is basically when your tulpa is sentient, and giving it access to your thoughts. there are several ways to do this. some people imagine a library containing their memories, and having their tulpa enter the library and look around, some people just imagine a doorway that leads into the memories. i'll elaborate on this later if i'm not making sense

imposition: the very last step, most likely. this is getting your tulpa visible in the real world. basically, you have to look at something, and imagine your tulpa there. this will take quite a long time, and it's pretty difficult. i'm also not describing this very well, sorry, but it's kind of like visualization except you try to really see your tulpa there - that's bad wording but i'm not sure how else to word it.

there's probably other stages i'm forgetting, but the creation of a tulpa is flexible. there's a few things you should NOT do though:
- giving them a backstory. do not do this. one person gave their tulpa a backstory: family, life in general, etc. but since the tulpa's "life" didn't really happen, it got depressed, basically
- trying to rush it. making a tulpa takes time. you should spend at least a half hour, preferrably a lot longer, on each session, and do at least one session a day
- if you're basing your tulpa off of a pre-existing character, do not expect them to act just like that character. there's several results of doing this, but it basically leads to the tulpa getting upset
- making a tulpa just to beat it up. seriously, why? it takes such a long time, so i don't understand why anyone would make a tulpa just to "kill" it, but i'm including this anyway
- trying to do imposition too early. there's not too many downsides to this, but it's best to have a sentient tulpa first

if there's anything i was too vague about, or forgot, let me know

also, as a bonus, about possesion:
when you have a tulpa that's sentient, you can try possession if you want to. this is when the tulpa is able to control your body. this sounds scary, but tulpae can't possess you without your consent. if you do want to try possession, you could try having them possess just your hands, or something like that. don't do possession for too long though, because like i said, it causes headaches a lot

also that's probably the longest post i've ever made
yay for me
