Author Topic: So my friend's Dad returned from Afghan...  (Read 765 times)

So, yeah, a friend of mine's dad came back home today from serving in the Navy for 8 months in Afghan. I think he came to our school today because Vet's day was yesterday. It was a surprise for Turner (the friend) and when his Dad came in, he hugged him and cried.
When Turner's emotional moment was over, Turner's dad talked about the military and the Afghan war for the rest of History period.
It was pretty cool. /discuss stuff like this

That's cool
But was he Saxton Hale?

I wonder how Afghan is this time of year...

Probably not bad at all for the Navy. SEALS however, are probably a different matter entirely.

Why is the navy in the middle of a desert?

Um, correct my if I'm wrong here but aren't those the same thing? As in it doesn't matter which form is used?

That's a great story, but it makes me feel old. People my age went to Afghan, hearing people here talk about "their friends father" kinda dates me..

One of my friends from highschool came back recently. Came back and married his highschool sweetheart.
Happy end.

Afghan refers to the people (or the blanket). Afghanistan is the country.
