It creeped me out, really, because I was like "oh stuff man this is happening THIS IS HAPPENING" but then again I'm extremely vulnerable to that kind of emotional impact thing. Yeah though, it'd obviously be a lot scarier if it actually happened.

Seriously, what the forget. All of these random morons know all this stuff about RATs and all these different versions of them, and they're all so loving blatantly easy to stop, I don't even remember a time where I had a virus. If the person who made the RAT stub used their IP in any form (hostname or not, a proxy could easily fix this,) they could easily get tracked down by "netstat -d". Any decent tool would remove user access to netstat to prevent their IP from being compromised and them being caught. How on earth can a "ub3r 1337 h4k3r" be so goddamn stupid when a Power User like me could see through their handicapped programming and easily find out where they are in the world?

I can proudly say I've never gotten a virus. The closest I've gotten was accidentally forgetting to check "decline" when installing uTorrent on their various sponsors and ending up with the equivalent of a bunch of adware bars on chrome.

My sister Isn't so smart when It comes to computers. This isn't the first time she got a virus.

She gets the rest of them from sites she shouldn't be on.

Get Malwarebytes. Put that on a flashdrive. Boot the PC in SAFE MODE. Then run malware bytes to delete the ransomware. Your welcome :o)

You have ransomware.

Press F8 repeatedly while the Windows logo comes up. Choose the "safe mode with networking" option. Run a Malwarebytes Free scan.
If the Windows logo doesn't come up, then you have ransomware that overwrote your Master Boot Record.

In that case, look for a MBR ransomware removal tutorial.
Speaking of which, I seriously need to buy Kaspersky anti-malware instead of going with AVG Free.

The closest I've got recently is grayware, but Darkness helped me remove it.

It was YourFile Downloader and Babylon Toolbar.

Unfortunately, Some ransomware completely disable the ability to access the desktop through safe mode.

That's MBR ransomware and usually only happens when you go on the wrong research sites.
