Author Topic: Remote-control driving option makes Chinese car a world first  (Read 1671 times)

I would actually import one of these from china
Why would you take this pile of stuff
I would more likely take that car that you can park in a city and it will drive its way to another city completely alone, while following the lines on the road obeying traffic lights and watching the traffic to prevent crashes.

Good job only paying attention to the remote control feature.  BTW a car that can do what you want is currently illegal (this Chinese car stretches the legality but it seems okay because of the 10 meter limit)

EDIT: also like 1.5mph limit on remote control so its not going to kill anyone

It's still prototype and pretty dangerous if you do it wrong
But it's gotta be amazing when it's done

An unmanned vehicle would never be considered legal in the US.

technically not unmanned, since you'll only be moving it while being 15-30 meters away from it
also
this isnt new and is rather dumb.

It is unmanned if there is no one in the drivers seat. Every law written on US Driving Code is against that theory.

so instead of just taking a normal pistol-grip remote-control and making it tons easier to driver they decide to make their own horrible little remote

Tl;dr an affordable hybrid made in China with some supporters and some people saying they'd never buy it from China despite ~70 percent of US products being made in China.

Looks awesome. I always get little boners when interesting new technologies spring up.

In socialist China, car drives you!

Screwed it up but eh good enough!
