you need a professional's help

While I agree that his problem seems a bit extreme, it's very difficult to get rid of addictions when you're a "redneck." And honestly, the way some of you are reacting to this seems quite pointless and immature, though kudos to the people who say about helping him :P

alcoholism is not a mental illness.

your genes are not programmed to like alcohol.

you're just an idiot.

looks like it's time for rehab buddy

Z3NON is being correct here, i'm pretty sure its impossible for an ADDICTION to pass down via genes.....

Unless there's a new scientific study proven there is a way for an addiction to get passed down

I found this random information about it:
When scientists look for "addiction genes," what they are really looking for are biological differences that may make someone more or less vulnerable to addiction. It may be harder for people with certain genes to quit once they start. Or they may experience more severe withdrawal symptoms if they try to quit. Factors that make it harder to become addicted also may be genetic. For example, an individual may feel sick from a drug that makes other people feel good. But someone's genetic makeup will never doom them to inevitably become an addict. Remember, environment makes up a large part of addiction risk.

alyx probably doesnt even have an addiction, he only started drunk posting like last week, if he really had alcoholism he would have had all the effects of withdrawal since day 1.

he's just a total loser and trying to get attention on an online forum.

unless they are an aborigional or native american

Just keep boozing hard and hope that eventually you turn into a functioning alcoholic.

Alyx, you're pathetic.  Alcoholism is purely in the mind.  Anyone who says they cannot quit alcohol is simply too weak to refuse it.  You do not need it to survive.

Addiction can be passed from parent to child, but not in a genetic way.  If your mom drinks while your a fetus in the womb then yes, you may become addicted to the alcohol entering your bloodstream, that is if you don't die of alcohol poisoning.  Even if you DID survive, when you were born you would have withdrawal symptoms just like 'crack babies' and you would eventually lose your addiction.

So this whole 'it's my heritage' stuff is a load of bullstuff.  Not to mention the fact, there's basically two lines when your drinking, tipsy and drunk.  You claim to be drunk and by the amount of drinking/alcohol in the drinks you're drinking, you would be flat drunk.  In the video you posted, you were not drunk, and whilst being drunk I can guarantee a person could not operate an online forum.  In fact with a blood alcohol level of .08 you really wouldn't even be able to READ anything on the screen if you hadn't developed a high tolerance, which in that case then you wouldn't in theory be 'drunk'.

Alyx I'm calling your bluff and I know I'm right.  The video you posted was literally pathetic along with you 'drunk' posts, you don't need help with an addiction you don't have, you need help with your lying.

Good luck to you, and have a nice day.
