Nothing, however, is free, and a Lamborghini Aventador is probably a whole lot more expensive than a 2002 Volvo.
yet the volvo is still better

How I see it:
Console games: Very well optimized and very smooth looking with the added post process effects.
PC games: Laggy unoptimized pieces of stuff that only a computer several times more powerful than a console can play.

console will always be behind PC. always. PC gaming is better hands down.

Buying a Pc that costs more than a console is counter intuitive.

You can use PCs for more than just gaming.

Why buy a console for games and a PC for personal use when you can just buy one PC that does both?

But when your Pc is a laptop and you game on an Xbox, you'd need a lot more money for a good rig. Everyone doesn't buy a desktop, most people buy laptops because taking their stuff around is really handy.

I'm just saying the price is justified when you buy a gaming PC.

my GPU alone costs more than any current console, and because I decided not to cheap out on parts, I can play any game I want up to 1080p on ultra settings better than any console could ever dream of.

if you want mediocrity then pay a mediocre price for a console, but if you want something that games well and can do anything else you want it to, buy a PC.

stop buying games from Activision, Ubisoft, and EA.

Stop playing games on a toaster.

I was talking about how devs optimize their games better for consoles.

Because they have to. Everyone has the same hardware in their consoles, so they have to limit the graphics to get a 30 fps minimum. With PC games, they can do whatever they want with the graphics, and adjust minimum required specs accordingly. That's why PC games look better than their console counterparts 99.9% of the time.

Computers cost more to buy and maintain, while a console is cheaper and easier to use. A good gamer has both.
Wrong.
Wrong.
Wrong.
Wrong.

Consoles are only cheaper if you already have a TV.  On top of that, if a part fails in a console you have the replace the entire unit, while on a PC, you can just replace the defective part.

If you put all the things the computer has (i.e. programming) onto the consoles they would be equally expensive.

How many people don't have TVs?  not many.  and how often do you have to replace parts?  Almost never.  A gaming PC is more expensive, there is no arguing about that.
