Author Topic: So I just got an email from a site I NEVER signed up for.  (Read 2426 times)

You probably signed up for some other site that gave out your information to third parties

Someone probably entered your email instead of their own

Apparently, The site is hosted through dropbox, Anyway you should be careful or even better just delete the messages the site sends you as it could be some phishing website trying to get your information.

Especially considering some website owners have access to a list of email addresses.

Apparently, The site is hosted through dropbox
Not exactly true. I copied the HTML from Gmail and pasted it into an HTML document, then uploaded it to Dropbox.
The site itself isn't hosted via Dropbox, but the email I got, I rehosted.

That could be true, but I don't know what site it is.

That might also be true as well, I think it's probably a friend who is trying to spam my email.

an email address is like a richard

if you put it in places you don't trust, you might find a lot of unpleasant things in it down the road
