Author Topic: Same ad popping up in Internet Explorer lately, adware much?  (Read 3025 times)

It doesn't have to be chrome, but it sure shouldn't be internet explorer
chrome and firefox are closely tied, but internet explorer is basically hated by everyone and for a reason

On topic: How did you not know that cookies do that
mid-topic: I'm not sure if IE has adblock, but firefox and chrome sure do.

That's not the point, If he honestly wan'ts to use internet explorer, He shouldn't have to deal with other users forcing there browser opinions on him, He just wanted to know if it was adware, Not which browser is the best.

I was on internet explorer at my school, and when I went to Google a little box appeared at the top that said "You have an outdated browser. Update to a modern browser like Google Chrome." Such a win.

I think that IE has adblock.

You seem to be confusing periods with commas.

This is the internet. Opinions will be used freely. If he didn't want people to hate on him, he probably shouldn't have put "Internet Explorer" in the topic title. And while it's not the topic's main idea, it's what the topic's discussion has become. If he wants people to shut up he can easily lock this.

Of course, they're endorsing their own products.

Get Chrome.
Get Adblock for Chrome.

opinions~
I've tried Opera. It runs fine, sure. But I find it meh, I just don't like it. Therefore, I refuse to use it, considering Chrome works perfectly fine on my system and never encounters performance errors. Don't need to fix what isn't broken.
The very fact that Chrome would be a problem browser for you is your problem, not anybody else's.
Deal with it.

And yes, you are a snide prick. All the time. Every single post you make towards someone with a different opinion is always a snide, blatant retort.

And I don't give a stuff if Chrome can't run correctly on your 2.4GHz, because Chrome runs perfectly fine on my 2.3GHz AMD Dual-Core Athlon. I don't know what the forget you're doing that causes Chrome to run poorly on your system, but please understand there are people out there with better and worse machines than you that run Chrome perfectly fine.

Work on your attitude, too.

In support of this, I have a 1.3ghz processor and chrome runs completely fine. The only issue I've ever had with chrome is a conflict between chrome's integrated flash player and one I have installed, but it is easily fixed and is nothing to complain about.

ahem
Internet explorer is and always will be inferior to Chrome, as over time, it keeps track of your computer history as well.
I'm serious about this stuff.  I accidentally opened IE, and due to curiosity, I checked my history.  It had most of the locations of where I went in my computer.

Now, I find this loving odd, and may or may not be the reason why IE is so goddamn slow.
I recently gave away an old computer - one that I had reset to factory settings - and wouldn't you know, IE was about as fast as chrome.

Now, IE also has multiple incompatibilities.  The only reason why I use it (EXTREMELY RARELY) is for the 64-bit version to download certain things, as I am too damn lazy to get the 64 bit version of Firefox.

These are facts that the OP are either neglecting / being the exact same way I was when I was refusing to switch to chrome.

I'm not sure why IE really even exists, its a functional browser, but chrome and firefox are far far far superior to it.

That still is not the point, He shouldn't have to be forced into using a browser by your own opinion, He can already choose which browser he wants to use himself, Even if you feel he's using you the wrong browser, That doesn't justify trying to force your own opinion on him, He asked us if it was adware or not, He did not ask us which browser is better then the next.

Because it gets shipped default and was the first one to do so.
