Actually, good infrastructure can help shaping a nice city. But I think some of the cities are trying to start out too big. Sometimes half of the brickcount is wasted on roads which nobody will drive on, but make commuting a real chore. Also, realy city dynamics wouldn't work anyway, because there's simply not enough people.

CityRP was built on an entirely flawed economic model, and it's pretty much a deathmatch anyway. Seriously, when was the last time you saw people actually roleplaying? No, shooting up the place because you are a homicidal maniac does not count.

I used to host a fairly decent city roleplay, it didn't use money but I started out small and got larger as needed. I would say it was rather successful in the terms of CityRPG.

Was it the one with that island with houses everywhere that everyone built, and that small airport thing? I remember making a house there. It was a great server.

Yeah, but I was thinking of father back when I still used default roads.

none of that is going to change people running around shooting stuff lol

you've basically come here to try and stuff on other cityrpgs and advertise your own
You asked me what mine would have, I explained. loving idiot. All I did was show the roads I used to give a example of a nice road, Not complete crap that took 5 Seconds to build.

I have always thought that Beta City and ACM City would be nice places to have a cityRPG

A lot of stuffty City RPG hosts these days just tweak the scripts of previous-made mods and say it's the most wonderful thing the world has ever had, when in fact, it's just made even stufftier.

Basically what happened with the Cromedome script. People keep editing it, But the fact is, It sucks, it Console Spams, Its glitchy, Its laggy.

It'll be out soon enough.

But I will give a few features that we are doing.

  • Economy. Effected by Farming, people buying things from shops, etc. - This is the wrong way of doing this
  • Shop keepers need to pre-buy things for their store, meaning, You need to order spare Weapons, Food, etc. - Correct, but someone needs to make it dumbstuff
  • A nice GUI (I know allot of CityRPGs have this already, but just a feature we are adding) - probably loving ugly, knowing who is working on this
  • A vehicle spawning system. Vehicle spawns are free, But to buy a car, You need to select it from the GUI and choose the car you want, buy it, then you will always own it for when you want it again. - where have i heard this idea before?
  • Bank Accounts & Credit Card System -- Yep. You get one free bank account that no one can access (Personal) then you can buy 1 additional for $150 then a third for $200 then the forth and so on is $500. And yes, You come up with the Bank Account UserName, and Password and allow people to log into it, Suppose its a business account for 3 other people, All they need to do is go to a ATM, Bank, or even your Smartphone(GUI), Log in and you can access your money all right there. - this doesnt help at all and adds no fun to gameplay and i bet 100 dollars will never even be used by normal players
this is my opinion on all of it.

but we will have to wait in see

sry 4 dubltoast

this is my opinion on all of it.
1. We have someone making it, Dumbstuff.
2. Probably loving ugly? How about you take that richard out of your ass and stop acting like everyone is useless.
3. Don't remember who came out with the idea its self, I saw it somewhere but can't remember.
4. Example: A business with 2 people. Lets say you guys want to store your money somewhere, You make a bank account that BOTH of you can access allowing full capabilities to the cash at any time.

3. Don't remember who came out with the idea its self, I saw it somewhere but can't remember.

Iban, I believe. Both of you, anyways, need to listen to what the people who know what they're talking about are saying. You're over-complicating it to the point that it will be extremely difficult, tedious, or boring. Jasa is on the verge of doing that unless he combats his current features with new 'how to' goodies.

The problem with most cityrps is that they feel pointless. CityRP itself is a game-mode that can't decide what it should be. Is it about building a city? Is it about being a criminal running from the cops? Is it a game where you spend hours clicking a tree for unobtanium? Is it a basic economy simulator? What is it, really?

Some of you would probably say that it is a mod about living a life in the city. The name "RP" implies playing a role in the city. But the problem is, the whole thing feels inhumane. If this was some game where farming or botting was rife, you couldn't tell them apart from the average players, who just wander around and wait for money. There's hardly any interaction between the players, unless it's hard-coded within the mod (for example stealing money from people's wallets). The only things that are remotely fun are actually the criminal and the police careers, because those are the only jobs that require any interaction. So in the end it's nothing but a big cops'n'robbers tdm with a somewhat dynamic environment. Shopkeepers, workers, etc. are only there as props and magical things that give you guns, cars, and a "get out of jail" card.

One could say the mod is kind of like a jack of all trades. But it comes at the cost of being master at none. If all the elements were elaborated, then the whole game would become needlessly complicated. If you want a great city rp, then you should seriously think about what would you want to make out of it. Throw out features that are not fun. Don't add things for the sake of "realism". And most importantly, have a good time!

he only showed the info because people, including you asked for the info.

you started the conversation on your "gold" cityrpg without anyone asking about it lol

your cityrpg will be as stuff, if not stuffter than the ones we currently have - unless of course you've come up with an actual solution to the problem of them becoming a random deathmach, in which case i'd love to hear it

All I did was show a example of roads that had actual effort put into them and just mentioned their use in my upcoming CityRPG. I didn't go on and on about how good it is and say crap like "These roads for for my CityRPG gold, You should totally join when its up, Its AWESOME!!!!!11!11"
