They're called special interestes. While you're perfectly entitled to think something is weird, do consider that a large amount of people (yourself maybe included) have some sort of special interest, and that a lot of people that do not share an interest in these special interestes would think they are also weird.

I'd probably be nauseous if I had an identical twin brother who downloaded (and clopped to) MLP research on my 3DS. (I would have to see the actual research, though.)

Also, I never download images from the internet onto my 3DS. Heck, I never even use it that much (One reason being that I am one of the few who get motion sick from the 3D effect).
