Author Topic: TDMs Are Dying  (Read 2951 times)

Remember when jirue was banned for "being a moronic doomsday prophesier"?

Don't try to defend him. Good TDMs would have something to prevent that problem.
Example: The spawns being in other areas instead of a single building.
Example 2: Team 1 is unable to access Team 2's base.
Example 3: Multiple Exits to the base.
there is no spawnkilling as those exist. you can count example 2 as well as the teams cant reach eachothers spawn rooms. nice try though! it was a good effort!

Yeah it was a good effort! It just happened to me two weeks ago! Nice try though!

Does anyone remember Maxwells valley tdm? Fun stuff

Someone needs to make a lego TDM with only lego guns

too bad thats not possible. as my TDM has multiple base exits, i can tell you haven't played in over a month. the spawns are locked off from the other team, so one person, let alone 10 people, definitely couldn't spawnkill. it would help if you didnt lie :)

I happen to be finishing up a TDM/CP map which I plan to release as a gamemode.

Looks fun, Conan.  With that lovey style you should give me a hand ;)

i'm kinda working on the starts of a tdm that uses T+T, Frog's weaponry (and his ww2 stuff) and BL40k imperium weapons.
the thing is I don't have a current plan for the map. if someone could help me or suggest ideas (for the balance, scoring, map, map styles) then I probably won't lose interest.

a fortress on the side of a cliff that the attackers have to brek into. the cliff is really steep and the attackers start off in a cave. the defender base is built deep into the cliffside. it would be cool breaking through defenses and having it mix from fighting inside to fight on the edge of a cliff/catwalks

there's no unfair advantage in my tdms.
Oh?, how about the tank then? it only requires 1 player to switch seats from driving to the turret, fire and switch back in a very very short time, does massive damage, and is infact abused most by your server provider.

Has ruined the game multiple times for me.

If you played your servers more often, you'd probably already have fixed this.

I might do this some day. ;)

Pshhh I don't need no terrain guide, I'm just fine at making it.  Just I have an area about 500 times that size to cover, and I'm busy doing other stuff.

Either team can get to any of the three tanks.  There is no team-bias in his TDMs.  The only inequality would be placement of the bases-that being blue's sheltered base vs red's open to be shot at base.
