ahahahahaahaha

i know why OP wants this

I was actually talking with my friends on steam about this and they said the same thing.

While yes I suppose that can factor into it, I've wanted wings since I was little. In kindergarten I would jump off monkey bars to try and "glide". Needless to say it didn't work well. Flying has always been a passion and those squirrel suits they have now really ramped it up. That's my graduation present.

We'd need less bone density.

Yeah. Bones in the wings would be hollow out of necessity. Hopefully the added muscle could make up for the rest.

Anyone else keep typing wongs instead of wings?

Yeah. Bones in the wings would be hollow out of necessity.
what about bone marrow? That's kinda required

No, our entire body would need less bone density. Birds for example have hollow almost crystal-like structured bones.

This'll clear up the deal with birds hollow bones, marrow, and the like.

The modified nanofiber muscles would counter-act this. They're 200 times stronger than normal muscles(not making this up, it's on the op). With those, you'd be strong enough even with the same dense skeleton.

Power wouldn't counteract weight. Surface area of the wing + power would do that.

You could probably look up with our current weight how large of wings we'd need to retain continuous flight.

About 6 feet for each wing.

About 6 feet for each wing.
This. Six feet fully extended. Folded up/put away/at rest, they'd be maybe 3 feet depending on the wing type. All in all it's really not that far of a stretch.

We would need to remake everything, all doors would need to be changed, chairs, cars, trains, etc.

Not necessarily. The basic idea that most people get from winged humans is the basic angel with the big sweeping wings that go up past your shoulders. Really though they'd extend down the far ends of your back closer to your sides and wouldn't go above midneck at most. With the wrist and elbow joints they'd be almost like a waist coat or a vest.

Doors wouldn't need modification. Chairs(if it really isn't comfortable could be substituted with stools. Cars would be useless wince we would be flying faster than most speed limits. Trains for long distances might be an issue but with the added muscle and surface area from the wing, it wouldn't be too tiring to fly.

Yeah, stop with your brony fantasies. If you have three foot wings extending behind you or to the side you could barely function, try cooking in an average sized apt kitchen with wings.

You must be new here.

Yeah, stop with your assumptions. I've made it clear that this has little to do with me liking MLP. This has been something I've wanted since I was a child.

Wings aren't extended when at rest, you're dense if you think so. If you don't want to think about what I'm proposing please refrain from wasting space.

At rest as stated before would be near three feet, it would not be a good idea nor possible to have giant loving fans hanging out of our back, we didn't evolve with wings for a reason.
