Has the production of mods been alot slower lately?

Im not sure if people are just giving up on making mods, or if people are going to release alot of them in the future instead of one single one, Could someone give me an idea on whats possibly causing this delay if its not mods being released into packages in the future?

Most likely people are busy with school and other matters and since its nearing the winter break people who have midterm tests are probably going to be even busier.

They could also be on hiatus and just not bother working on stuff for a while.
