If someone acts like an asshat and pisses baddy off, then does something they can get banned for, badspot will ban them. If someone who badspot likes or doesn't outright hate does the same thing, they won't get banned.

I'm guessing the reason trolling is bannable is because, Trolling is an attempt to cause flaming and there is a rule against flaming therefore trolling cannot be allowed.

Rule of thumb for any community: If you're unsure what you're doing will get you banned or not, don't do it.
Doesn't matter if the rules are written or not. If you have doubts about the legality of whatever it is you're doing, probably shouldn't do it.
