I've been trying to host my own server for a few days, and I've finally forwarded my ports. Now I'm getting a problem with Ping, though. A friend of mine told me that it showed up as dead, and he couldn't connect. Is there a way to fix this?

Have you made sure you forwarded to ports properly. It may be different for different routers. For more information go to
http://www.portforward.com
and follow the instructions. If the problem persists after reviewing the instructions given by the mentioned site just reply.

That... Kinda doesn't help...
I think I figured it out, but is there a way I can check my server's ping from inside it?

You can check your own ping (Not the servers...) with ServerConnection.getping(); :o
