Encase anyone was wondering as well, I got $5000 worth of inheritance from my late aunt, and I also have a CIBC "Advantage Card" (visa/debit hyrbrid, meaning it's a debit card that I can order things online with).

2... 1. Here they come.

I prefer debit cards, keeps me in budget and out of debt. I can't see myself getting a credit card in the near future.

You should go out and buy the most useless thing you can. It's fun.

you should buy things then return them 15 minutes later

This. I won't really be using this new VISA for anything at all unless I get trapped in Toronto with no money and I need a train home.

I mainly signed up for the VISA so that I could get an early start on my credit rating. Which will be loving phenomenal.

I mean, why not? It's good that I've planned to not forget myself over in the future.

I have a Virgin pre-pay Mastercard myself, works just like a debit card except I don't have to deal with banks at all, I just top it up at my local shop and then I can use it anywhere that accepts Mastercard, I can even withdraw cash from almost all cash machines (ATM's if you're American) and use it abroad.
stuff's pretty awesome

My Wells Fargo cards with just about everything. Online, at the store, ATM, etc. It's so nice. Now if only I had money...
