Author Topic: Trouble with old addon  (Read 1614 times)

A few months ago, I got a new computer, meaning I lost all of my old Blockland stuff. I'm trying to download one of the addons I had, Tom and Prog's Christmas pack, but when I try to open the folder, it says the zipped folder is invalid. Does anyone have the contents of the folder in addons or is there another place I can download it?

You just place the zip file in add-ons, no decompressing it

On the page for the addon, it says you need to open it. It's a pack and all the contents are themselfs compressed into a zipped folder.

I've never seen an add-on where you had to open the .zip file... Do you still have the old computer? If so, you could try transferring it from one computer to the other with a flash drive.

I still have the old computer, but by the time I got this new one, I was lucky if the old one would even turn on, and half the time, even when it did, it would crash after about 5 minutes. I guess I'll try, though.

kinda confusing instructions... I'm no computer geek, idk what to tell you... Sorry man!

My ipad unpacks it without a problem.
Get a new unzipper, like 7zip or winrar
You're supposed to open the zip and drap the zips in the add-ons subfolder in your add-ons folder, how is that confusing?

Oh. So there's zips inside the zip. Nvm, I got it now...

I don't have winrar or winzip, I'm too cheap to buy buy it. Thinking about getting winzip, though.

7zip
tugzip
There's lots of free zip tools, including winrar (though after 40 days you get a super annoying popup "hey you havent got a license go buy one!!!" every time you open it)

So is Winrar free or just has a 40 day trial?

It's free, the pop-up thing kinda gets annoying at first, but just click close every time and do whatever.

I've heard that it's just a glitch with the trial and that you're supposed to pay.

But seriously, does anyone have the addons from inside the zipped file?

I repackaged them all for you, have fun.

Unzip the music zip and get the oggs from there, otherwise just plop them in addons.
