Character's Story/Biography (Please make decent length): Martin hailed from a small town in Maine, the type in which everybody knew everybody else and word traveled faster than sound or even light. It wasn't surprising that quickly after the release of the Genemeter, the whole town had been debating the issue of trans-humanism and why the Genemeter was not only unethical as a work of science, but in the case of religion, blasphemous. Martin had taken no pleasure in taking part in these debates, and as a result, was often pestered by schoolmates, friends, parents, and anybody that would care to listen as to what his views were.
Attitudes and opinions were suddenly a commodity and before you knew it, somebody was dead. A shard of glass through the chest, and two people in jail. It wasn't the Genemeter causing the problems, rather, the people had gone psycho. So, like any sane person, Martin got out of dodge. He never got the chance to make it out of the state. He was stopped at a military checkpoint and had a gun put to his head as he was forced out of his car and into a helicopter to who knows where. The last he saw before the cabin went pitch black and the hull door was closed was countless numbers of people emerging from the trees. They amassed in the hundreds, possibly the thousands as they all charged the checkpoint. As the military began mowing them down, the loss was clear. Where one fell, another took its place. Martin never saw the outcome as the chopper gained altitude and the sounds of the gunshots were lost to the mercy of the wind.
