Which would you prefer for the blockland website?

.com
.us
.org
.tv

Author Topic: Why is it blockland.us?  (Read 2781 times)

I've always wondered just out of curiosity why Badspot named the site "blockland.us" instead of ".com". I noticed how badspot's website ends in .us too so is it just a personal preference? Was .com already taken?
Which do you prefer, .com, .us, vote in the poll!

this has absolutely no real-world backing and is entirely a guess:

a .us domain may have been less expensive

Lol really? Kinda strange, I barely know of any sites that end with .us

.tv..?

Last time I checked we're not on television

yeah well good luck getting authorization for .org because the forums are obviously a non-profit organization

Idk I just remembere a game called Boombang.tv that I remembered about many years ago so I just put that in

United States Top Level Domain.

I don't think Badspot makes enough money of keys to call Blockland an absolute commercial success which would make the usage of a .com(mercial) TLD useful.

Maybe that's why it's less expensive. Less desirable.

.us makes me think it's available in different languages lol
