Author Topic: RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Service Closing  (Read 279745 times)

Viewing the Configuration page yields an error when you have no gamemode add-ons.

Any answer on this?

The feature to install directly from RTB was not actually added, and it's generally expected that you'd have atleast one gamemode add-on - is there ever a legitimate case for not having one?

Hi guys, please don't purchase a server at the moment as we're at absolute capacity. I'll be placing an order for a third New York node on Monday and then I'll be offering people the chance to migrate to the new node to take advantage of the extra space and resources.

Thanks!

i got the 2nd to last 1 ;)

I've placed the order for a third NY server and once that's deployed and tested I'll be offering clients the chance to have their server migrated over to it if they choose to. With two servers at full capacity and one at no capacity it'd be good to spread the load evenly across all three.

move mine straight away, do it whenever

:0

You get a choice to move? Is it more powerful than 1 and 2?

From what I can gather it has the exact same specs, but it's just less occupied and thus has better resources.

Chances are you won't notice a difference between the servers to be honest, it's just a good idea to make sure the servers are evenly spread across our three nodes.

There will be a more formal process of server migration in place soon so posting in the thread asking to be moved isn't necessary.

Ok

I'll probably just wait until everyone moves off the server I'm on :3 But if at some point you need people to move I'd be happy to do it. (I'd just need some notice of course)

So, I decided to re-buy my old service in RTB, and it appears there are no nodes available.
Since I have probably not read this entire thread, then these questions are probably already answered, but still:

When a node becomes available, and I obtain it, am I refunded the days that were lost due to no-nodes?
Meh, I'd thought that it would of told me first before payment that there were no nodes available, guess not. But if the above is possible, then that's okay.

Yeah I'm super sorry about that, the order with the hosting company is in place so I'm just waiting for them to provision a server. Of course yeah your contract will start from the point at which you deploy your server so no time will be lost waiting for deployment.

I'll be adding some more visibility on availability before you pay in the future - honestly we never anticipated this many clients so we never thought being at full capacity would be an issue. If you'd like your payment refunded while you wait please let me know and I'll sort that out for you.

How do I change my password?

Yeah, sorry.
I didn't see the notice above stating not to buy a server, because I do not check this thread often.
But yeah, it really depends on how long it takes for the new nodes / box to arrive and get online.
Is there an estimate on a day?

I placed the order yesterday so I'm reasonably optimistic I'll have something by the end of tomorrow. I'll let you know via email once it's good to go.
