Author Topic: RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Service Closing  (Read 362511 times)

Okay, that's fine then, my build project can wait.

Hi guys, I've just finished deploying our latest New York node (NY03) which is up and running and ready to accept deployments. My apologies to those who had to wait to deploy their servers - I've added 3 extra days onto your contracts for the inconvenience as well as ensuring your contract begins at the point you deploy the server instead of when you made your payment.

I'll be posting more details up later for anyone who wishes to migrate their server over to the new node.

Thanks for your patience!

You may or may not want to move me to a new node because of all that...
sweet quality loving CPU I take up.

Since removing one or more broken add-ons, my server has had a solid week of uptime; I think a 3 month renewal is in order, should the option be available when the time comes.

The service is amazing! Just a shoutout to my favorite hosting service! Winners of the TBI Best Service award 2013!

I do believe that you get an email a few days before you're hosting runs out asking if you'd like to renew.

What happens with mods like Speedkart tracks?

I dragged 6 different speedkart maps into the addons and it said they successfully uploaded, but they don't seem to appear anywhere. I don't know how I'd remove/update them  (Same goes for environment files)

Edit: also, what exactly does this error mean?

i think you just need to restart the server

Well yeah, when I reset the server they work, it's just weird not being able to see them anywhere in the add-on manager.  What if I wanted to remove one of those maps? (Which I kind of do, lol)

Also: I don't need to edit my colorset for what I'm hosting, but for future reference, how do you change colorsets?

i think you just upload it :s

For most file management things you'll need to set an FTP password and use an FTP client (or Windows) to access your server and do whatever you need to do there.

The Add-On page is mostly for managing the typical add-ons you can enable/disable and not so much for non-add-ons like the track ones you've mentioned.

Wow, what you guys have done with this is amazing! I probably wont ever rent a server but I still think what you guys are doing is really cool, keep it up!

Uhhh I'm probably pretty dumb here, but what's the FTP Client and where do I get it? :P

I set a password on it but I honestly had no clue what it was/how to access it.
